Sexual abuse shatters a child’s ability to accept love and the goodness in life. Unless this is healed, the child will grow up with the core belief that they don’t deserve; they don’t deserve love, they don’t deserve happiness and they don’t deserve success. This belief is deeply embedded in their psyche and needs love, patience and gentle unravelling.
